The name Peniel comes from Genesis 32:30 “And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved”
Goal
We strive to meet the spiritual, psychological, educational, and physical needs of youth in the home. We provide a balance of work and play in a well-rounded program essential for good social adjustment.
Our students come from various backgrounds and have varied needs. Parents are cordially invited to visit the school to meet its personnel, and to form their own impressions of the school’s offerings in terms of the needs of their own child. Opportunity is afforded visitors to inspect the buildings and grounds and to see the students in their regular activities.
Christian Education
Peniel is a “Back to Basics” program where children learn to understand the world through a full, meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Friend.
At Peniel Christian School, students are taught that truth exists, that it comes from God and that it is worth pursuing. Peniel uses Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum. Upon arrival at Peniel, each student is given a battery of tests to determine his or her strengths and weaknesses. An individually challenging curriculum is then implemented. Our multiage classroom offers students the opportunity to receive instruction based upon their ability and not solely upon their chronological age.
Since its establishment in 1971 as a private Christian school, Peniel has provided an academically challenging and biblically based education. In many cases credits lost in the past due to poor performance or behavior, are completely made up while attending Peniel. A sound education, both spiritually and academically is necessary to deal with the challenges of life.

Our campus is on 50 acres in Spring Valley Wisconsin. We are located 28 miles east of the St. Croix River, just 1 mile south of Interstate 94.
